Thanks for stopping by my campaign website!
Dear Friends,
Our courts were once the last stop for the protection of our Constitutional rights - a place free of the influence of special interests and money. Our courts affirmed the equal right to an education, the equal right to vote, the equal right to live and work free of harassment and discrimination. Our court system was once the true guardian of the American Dream.
Sadly, extreme right judicial activism has taken over our state's highest court. One-party rule has once again bred arrogance, group-think, and allowed the pay-for-play politics that favors insurance companies and large firms over consumers and decisions of juries made up of our peers. Regular Texans have every reason to question whether Justice is for sale.
If you believe it's time to bring balance to the Texas Supreme Court, I invite you to join my campaign. In this site you'll find background on my legal career - from the case I took all the way to the United States Supreme Court to my appointment to the 13th Court of Appeals by Governor Ann Richards - as well as information on our campaign, and how together we can reaffirm a fair and level playing field for every Texan.
Bienvenidos,
Linda Yañez
